Nick Delaware became the head of the house when a devastating accident had killed his Father and Sister. In this very contemporary romance, the Lord of the Manor is having financial difficulties and is in the process of selling one of his estates. Of course when he meets with the woman who is arranging the property transfer he can't get her out of his mind. She is intelligent, competent, unimpressed by his title and has a great sense of humor. What a marvelous H/h. Nevertheless there are obstacles to overcome. In fact there is some danger involved. I loved the verbal banter between them, and missed it in the center of the book while they were separated. In fact the center was the weakest but it picked up as soon as his Lordship's brother appeared. The characters are distinctive, lovable and slightly flawed. In other words, very human. This made the story real, without the Cinderella fantasy that the plot would indicate. Buy, read, enjoy!Product details

As usual, a very enjoyable story, not a lot more I can say, I look forward to the next one! I hope I don't run out of her books too soon!
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves the past and the present merged into a wonderful story, the characters as always for Audrey Harrison, move into your mind and heart, read this book it wonderful.
Two people who know they should be together but it takes them whole book for them to get there.
It was the the secondary characters that made this book interesting and kept me going until the end.
The ending was sweet and happy.

This was a very good book and rated as such. The characters were amazing, and again, it was a very good book. This was my first book of Lords and Ladies living in a later era of time. I recommend it highly even though it has typos.
I usually like historical books but this story was in the same class and I enjoyed it very much. It had humor, drama and passion through out. I gave this book a five star rating and would recommend this book to all romantic's.
This book is about Nick, Lord Delaware, and Miss Jane Dutton. This book takes place in this century and I am partial to Recency romance books but the fact it took place in England and the main character was a Lord made it interesting. Nick has to sell his Scottish estate due to financial problems and Jane works for the company that is handling the sale. I loved this book. I loved the characters. There is one sexual scene. I highly recommend it.
